Pre-race Analysis: AUS and NOR should place 1,2 to make the "A" final on Saturday. Then either ROM or POL should grab the 3rd qualifying place, but both must watch out for a fast closing 500 meters by FRA. FRA must keep pace with POL in the 2nd 500 meter interval to improve its chances to challenge for 3rd place at the end.
