Windermere Collegiate Crew Classic

Windermere Collegiate Crew Classic

The Windermere Collegiate Crew Classic features a selection of men's and women's crews from all parts of the country which were among the most successful collegiate programs during the 2002 season. This regatta will be a true precursor of the crews likely to be the best crews nationally this year.

JAMCO will again bring you live results and split times. Race Reports will be updated automatically during each race. Here is a simulation of what you would see. (The simulation page automatically updates after 10 seconds.)

The Course

Saturday

Weather warm and sunny, very flat conditions through the morning races. Breezy but still relatively flat conditions all afternoon. Temperature rose into the 70 degrees in the midday to late afternoon. Generally excellent rowing conditions all day.

For races 101 through 122, the timers providing splits at the first 500 meter mark were positioned past the 500m mark, because the normal access to that mark was not available. So the first 500m splits are a bit fast and the second 500m splits a bit fast for those races. The 1000m splits are fine for all of the races. This situation at the first 500m mark was corrected beginning with race 123 and was fine for the rest of the regatta.

In the beginning of the afternoon session, there were no times taken for the first two men's varsity races because there were no timers available to go out on the course until the 3rd race (race 203) of the afternoon session.

Sunday

Ideal weather, absolutely flat for all races, no wind at all. Glassy water surface.

Special note for visitors using computers with smaller displays, e.g., 800x600 resolution.

Color Coding — Real time movements by crews during each 500 meter interval are highlighted by different colors. Gold (yellow) crews are closing on the leader in the current 500. Silver (light blue) crews are closing on the second place crew, but falling further behind the leader. Bronze (orange) crews are closing on the third place crew, but falling further behind the leader and the second place crews. White crews are falling further behind all three leading crews. Quite often, when a crew turns gold, it takes the lead in the next 500.

Printing tips — When printing JAMCO race bulletins, you may get better results if you set your browser to print background colors and images. If you are using MS Internet Explorer, go to Tools->Internet Options->Advanced and scroll down to where you see "Printing - Print background colors and images."

Automatic Refresh — During the race, JAMCO updates race results every 500m. JAMCO web pages showing real-time results are designed to automatically reload or refresh every 30 seconds. Occasionally, an automatic reload may fail resulting in an incomplete race display or a blank screen. In this case, please press the "Refresh" or "Reload" button on your browser.

Viewing Jamco Race Results on small displays — If are using a small computer display, e.g., screen resolution of 800x600, you may get better results by opening a browser window without toolbars. If you are using Microsoft Internet Explorer, click here to open a new browser window.
