PAC-10 Rowing Championships

Sunday, May 18, 2003

Lake Natoma, Sacramento, USA

Rowing Results

On Sunday morning, JAMCO will present live rowing split-times and results from the Pacific 10 (PAC-10) Rowing Championships at Lake Natoma in Sacramento. Race Reports will be updated automatically during each race. Follow your favorite races in real-time here.

Featured are Men's crews from the Washington and California and Women's crews from Washington, USC, Stanford and California.

Here is a simulation of what you will see. (The simulation page automatically updates after 10 seconds.)

Course conditions — The morning races will be run with the wind blowing directly across the course from the lane 7 side to the lane 1 side. If the wind persists from
this direction, the coaches will meet after the morning races end to decide whether to reverse the lane assignments for the finals so that the favored crews are placed in lanes 6 and 5 instead of 1 and 2. Otherwise, the weather is clear and sunny.

The wind continued all day blowing from lane 6 to 1, and the lane draws were modified such that the favorites were seeded into the high numbered, rather than the low numbered, lanes.

Official Times — All finish times now correspond to the official times released by the regatta committee.

Special note for visitors using computers with smaller displays, e.g., 800x600 resolution.

Color Coding — Real time movements by crews during each 500 meter interval are highlighted by different colors. Gold (yellow) crews are closing on the leader in the current 500. Silver (light blue) crews are closing on the second place crew, but falling further behind the leader. Bronze (orange) crews are closing on the third place crew, but falling further behind the leader and the second place crews. White crews are falling further behind all three leading crews. Quite often, when a crew turns gold, it takes the lead in the next 500.

Printing tips — When printing JAMCO race bulletins, you may get better results if you set your browser to print background colors and images. If you are using MS Internet Explorer, go to Tools->Internet Options->Advanced and scroll down to where you see "Printing - Print background colors and images."

Automatic Refresh — During the race, JAMCO updates race results every 500m. JAMCO web pages showing real-time results are designed to automatically reload or refresh every 30 seconds. Occasionally, an automatic reload may fail resulting in an incomplete race display or a blank screen. In this case, please press the "Refresh" or "Reload" button on your browser.

Viewing Jamco Race Results on small displays — If are using a small computer display, e.g., screen resolution of 800x600, you may get better results by opening a browser window without toolbars. If you are using Microsoft Internet Explorer, click here to open a new browser window.

"Thank you" to our volunteers along the race course who helped provide split times.
