Note: We do not have FISA lane assignments yet for this final, but have placed crews by pairs according to which were the winners, which were 2nd and which were 3rd into lanes 3/4, 2/5 or 1/6. We will not change these assignments even when the FISA lanes are published, because it does not affect our predictions at all.

Pre-race Analysis: GER, NED and CHN should take the medals here in that order. Stand by at the finish line with the gold for GER who should lead all the way. NED needs to keep the pressure on CHN all the way through the first 1500 meters, as the prediction shows NED capable of doing. Then in the last 500 meters, NED should be able to use her superior closing speed to overcome CHN for the silver, leaving CHN with the bronze.
