Pre-race Analysis: This is a tough race to read. CRO and GER raced each other in the heat, but both seem to have backed way off in the last 500 meters, even though it was still a close race. From the looks of these splits, CRO, RSA and GER should place 1,2,3 and qualify for the "A" final. However, if by their early speed, CRO and GER paid too high a price and some of the last 500 meters was fatigue, then RSA may win and FRA may pick off GER for the 3rd qualifying spot.
